“Aankh hai bhari bhari is a beautiful sad song from the movie “ Tum se acha kaun hai?”

 

This song ruled every bus, hotel, party, market place, ceremony, birthday, picnic, for nearly a decade. Many teenagers learned guitar after listening to this song.

 

Let's give a thumps up for the legendary director Nadeem Shravan for this lovely music. They changed the whole Bollywood music scene in the 90’s. They had the kind of melody the Hindi music fan loved, and were based largely on the Hindustani musical tradition.

 

Shravan of Nadeem Shravan fame passed away on April 22 , 2021.  Nadeem–Shravan were the most successful Bollywood music directors of the 1990s until the early 2000s. Nadeem Shravan had a dream run in the nineties starting with Aashiqui which broke all records.

In the late eighties we had a waning RD Burman and though Bappi Lahiri was doing good there was a dearth of good tunes and songs during that period. Out of nowhere this duo of Nadeem Shravan came and changed the whole musical scene.

Hats off to Sameer for composing such a beautiful song. He is the most underrated personality of the 90s era despite holding the Guinness world record for composing the most number of songs (4000+)!

 

Kumar Sanu is at his best here with his enchanting voice expressing the grief of the lover. Brilliant !

 

A song which describes you when you are broken from inside but people ask you to smile.

 

Magical voice with melodious music and heart touching lyrics… what a deadly combination

 

The new hero Nakul Kapoor did a decent job with this movie and had the potential to climb the ladders of success, if he had continued but he was somewhat denied this for some unknown reasons! He had a full package best look and talent and great dance moves as he was a great diver sport person and a passionate for yoga!! Nevertheless he is now teaching yoga ( his passion) in Canada.

Heroines in the movie were Aarti Chabbria and Kim Sharma who was the ex girlfriend of Cricketer Yuvraj Singh. They dated for four long years from 2003 to 2007. Kim is currently dating tennis legend Leander Paes.

The song is also played frequently at the ladies bars as the heart broken people are maximum at the bars.

 

Try and listen to this song while driving alone late night thinking about that special one.
